MKMMA Week 24- Thoughts and Dreams are Whispers from the Soul!

This has been an incredible 24 week journey for all of us in this MKMMA course and especially in my life. This has been a truly life changing event. It has been a lot of work but it has been worth every hour I have put into it. I have connected with so many awe inspiring members who have shared their lives as well as their experiences in this course. They have encouraged me and inspired me in incredible ways. Thank you to all of you for being part of my life on this journey. I am truly humbled and greatful for each and every one of you.

Thank you Mark J, Davene, and the MKMMA team for giving us the courage and the committment to follow our own Hero’s Journey. I will always be indebted to you.

Remember:

You become what you think about!

“You are today where your thoughts brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you. “   – James L. Allen
Master Keys 7-18 States “Make the mental image; make it clear, distinct, perfect; hold it firmly; the ways and means will develop; supply will follow the demand; you will be led to the right thing at the right time and the right way. “

We have a dream inside ourselves,
A gift to us at birth,
To guide us and protect us
On our journey on this earth.
We all have something special,
Each one of us unique
You have to find the courage
To find the peace you seek.

Carl Sandburg said it best…
“Nothing happens…but first a dream.”

This movie is a beautiful reminder that within each of us lies a powerful dream. I wish you all the best on your Hero’s Journey! May all of your dreams come true. From my heart to yours…

Peace be the Journey!

The future belongs to those who believe

in the beauty of their dreams.

– Eleanor Roosevelt

MKMMA Week-18 Aladdins Lamp- Is Within Each of Us

Aladdins lamp 2

imagesCAX3BXDPWhat we are today comes from our thoughts of  yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.

This week we are told that Aladdins Lamp is within each of us – our thoughts and our wishes. We have learned that the power of thought is the key to creating our reality. Everything we perceive in the physical world has its origin in the invisible, inner world of our thoughts and beliefs. To become the master of our destiny, we must learn to control the nature of our dominant, habitual thoughts. By doing so, we will be able to attract into our lives that which we all intend to have and experience as we come to know the Truth that our thoughts create our reality.

For Every Outside Effect There is an Inner Cause!

Every effect we see in our outside or physical world has a specific cause which has its origin in our inner or mental world. This is the essence of thought power. Put another way, the conditions and circumstances of our life are as a result of our collective thoughts and beliefs. As Haanel teaches us in the Master Key lessons that every aspect of our lives, from the state of our finances to the state of our health and our relationships, is accurately revealing our thoughts and our beliefs.

“circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him”.

James Allen

The following words of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha perfectly capture the essence of thought power:
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.”  thoughts - destiny

Oh, had I but Aladdin’s lamp,
If only for a day,
I’d try to find a link to bind
The joys that pass away.

I’d try to bring an angel’s wing    CircumstancesdontmatteronlymystateofBeingmattersBMagnolia
Upon this earth again,
And build true worth a home on earth,
A home beloved by men.

It should be May, and always May,
I’d wreath the world with flowers;
I’d robe the barren wilderness,
And bring life happy hours.

I’d soothe the lorn and desolate:
Increase the widow’s store;               Aladdin-Lamp
And industry should wear a smile,
It never wore before.

Where’re there were unhappiness,
I’d use my magic sway,
And none should be in poverty,
Or dread the coming day.

It should be May and always May,
I’d wreath the world with flowers;
I’d robe the barren wilderness,
And bring life happy hours.

“This deservedly popular song created a great sensation in this city, when introduced to the Glasgow Public by the admirable singer, Mr Plumpton, then one of the company of our Shakespeare Saloon.— It contains noble sentiments, and generous thoughts, alike honorable to the author, and worthy of the man. Copies can only be had in the Poet’s Box, No. 6 St.       Saturday Morning , January 26, 1856.”

MKMMA-Week 17 HJ “For Things To Change, You Got To Change”

“The world as we have created it, is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”     Albert Einstein

Change is hard, and I know this from experience. Sometime change takes a long time, I know this through experience in my life. Change takes effort, discipline, and the wiliness to know you have to change for things to get better in your life. You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Even though change is often difficult, many times it’s also for the best. A friend once told me, “From every adversity, comes a greater or equal opportunity”. Accomplishing anything great in life requires significant change that pushes us beyond our comfort zones. Many times, the only way to improve our lives is to force ourselves to undergo difficult change. In the MKMMA course…Our Hero’s Journey, we are learning the skills through excersises and compound progressions that are teaching us to develop habits that will change our lives.                                                            Change

Suppose, then, we desire to change conditions, how are we to bring this about? The reply is simple: By the law of growth. Cause and effect are as absolute and undeviating in the hidden realm of thought as in the world of material things.     Haanel

We have also learned The Law of Practice, by doing the readings and excersises over and over so they become a habit in our lives.  In Master Keys 9, Haanel tells us “Hold in mind the condition desired; affirm it as an already existing fact. This indicates the value of a powerful affirmation. By constant repetition it becomes a part of ourselves. We are actually changing ourselves; are making ourselves what we want to be”.

“No matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you’ve come from, you can always change, become a better version of yourself.”                      – Madonna

MKMMA Week 12- As A Man Thinketh

Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills: —
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:
Environment is but his looking-glass.

Quote from Dhammapada

I would like to share some excerpts from a book I read “As a Man Thinketh” which is a literary essay by James Allen , published in 1902. It parallels what we have been learning in the Master Keys.

“Man is always the master, even in his weakest and most abandoned state; but in his weakness and degradation he is the foolish master who misgoverns his household. When he begins to reflect upon his condition, and to search diligently for the Law upon which his being is established, he then becomes the wise master, directing his energies with intelligence, and fashioning his thoughts to fruitful issues. Such is the conscious master, and man can only thus become by discovering within himself the laws of thought; which discovery is totally a matter of application, self-analysis, and experience”.  James Allen

MK 12-3  We know that thought is building for us the thing we think of and actually bringing it nearer, yet we find it difficult to banish fear, anxiety, or discouragement, all of which are powerful thought forces, and which continually send the things we desire further away, so that it is often one step forward and two steps backward.

MK 12-4  The only way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward. External vigilance is the price of success. There are three steps, and each one is absolutely essential. You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third the faith to do.

“A man’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. If no useful seeds are put into it, then anabundance of useless weed seeds will fall therein, and will continue to produce their kind”. James Allen

Master Keys 12- “Knowledge does not apply itself; we as individuals must make the application, and the application consists in fertilizing the thought with a living purpose”.

“Just as a gardener cultivates his plot, keeping it free from weeds, and growing the flowers and fruits which he requires, so may a man tend the garden of his mind, weeding out all the wrong, useless, and impure thoughts, and cultivating toward perfection the flowers and fruits of right, useful, and pure thoughts. By pursuing this process, a man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life. He also reveals, within himself, the laws of thought, and understands, with ever-increasing accuracy, how the thought-forces and mind-elements operate in the shaping of his character, circumstances, and destiny”. James Allen

MK 12-11. Of course, worry, fear, and all negative thoughts produce a crop after their kind; those who harbor thoughts of this kind must inevitably reap what they have sown.

MK 12-17 The law is that thought will correlate with its object and bring forth in the material world the correspondence of the thing thought or produced in the mental world. We then discern the absolute necessity of seeing that every thought has theinherent germ of truth in order that the law of growth will bring into manifestation good, for good alone can confer any permanent power.

“Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts which he has built into his character have brought him there, and in the arrangement of his life there is no element of chance, but all is the result of a law which cannot err. This is just as true of those who feel “out of harmony” with their surroundings as of those who are contented with them. James Allen

MK 12-18 The principle which gives the thought the dynamic power to correlate with its object, and therefore to master every adverse human experience, is the law of attraction, which is another name for love. This is an eternal and fundamental principle, inherent in all things, in every system of Philosophy, in every Religion, and in every Science. There is no getting away from the law of love. It is feeling that imparts vitality to thought. Feeling is desire, and desire is love. Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible.

“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your Vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your Ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil”. James Allen
The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities. The Vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you enthrone in your heart – this you will build your life by, this you will become”.
