MKMMA Week 21- Your Thoughts Create Your World

Thoughts create everything. But here’s the problem. Most people spend their time thinking about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up over and over again. In The Secret, it is referred as the “don’t want” epidemic. When people think, speak, act and focus on what they don’t want, they keep it alive.

imagesCAA97GDJWe can free ourselves of this epidemic by thinking and speaking about what we do want. Our thoughts not only matter, they create matter. Thought is where everything comes from. And our thoughts create our lives and our world.

We’ve all heard the old expression, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” But that’s not really how it is. We have learned that The truth is more like this: “You’ll see it when you believe it.”

When novelist Victor Hugo said, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come,” he was giving us a literal description of how reality works. Our thoughts are the controlling factor in what we manifest and create in our lives.

In an actual and physical sense through the Law of Growth, our beliefs don’t simply reflect our reality, they create our reality, and they create our world. This concept also applies to the attainment of massive success in business.

During our sits we have created the habit, skill and awareness of listening to our thoughts. What are the dominant thoughts that run through your mind? We need to constantly review our thought list. Is it a list of “don’t wants” or needs? What thoughts do you need to change?

Using the Law of Substitution we need to replace our “don’t wants” with wants. When we find ourselves thinking of things we don’t want to manifest in our life, we need to interrupt those thoughts and replace them with thoughts about what we do want.

MKMMA WEEK 8- Look To This Day for it is Life

I greet this day with love in my heart!

I feel weeks 7 and 8 of the MKMMA course have been key turning points in my life. Today I am so elated and overwhelmed with joy. I have finally mastered my DMP after 7 drafts with my guide Just Leader. Here is what he wrote to me.

“Kaaaaboooom! Awesome Joe, You got it!  Do you feel, when you read it aloud how it just feels great??? You are cleared here with this DMP as far as I am concerned. Let me know how I can help you further?”

I have done my DMP and affirmations music recording. I have to admit it was a challenge until I figured out how I was going to do it. I downloaded Audacity and watched the tutorial. An I then downloaded George Winston –Autumn album – ( my favorite time of year).  After 4 or 5 tries at it……I was a star. I now have it recorded an my computer and a CD in my vehicle so I can listen ot it several times a day. I had tears in my eyes listening to my voice expressing my DMP. What an incredible experience.

My Mental Diet: What an incredible challenge! I’ve had many restarts as I try to conquer this and I will….I Can Do It!!!! I’m happy to say I am on day #3 with not dwelling on a negative thought.  I have extensively used the ‘Law of Substitution’. Brian Tracy, in his book Maximum Achievement, explains the Law of Substitution this way:

“It states that your conscious mind can hold only one thought at a time, and that you can substitute one thought for another. The ‘crowding out’ principle allows you to deliberately replace a negative thought with a positive thought.”

It’s impossible to eradicate a thought from your mind unless you fill the space with something else. So I figured after many attempts and restarts I had to do something that would help me out. I prepared a mental toolbox to help me ward off those negative thoughts and situations that come up. I came up with a list of positive things that I can switch my attention to whenever I find a negative thought knocking at the door of my mind. I think about my DMP -that new cabin on the pristine lake, and sitting on the porch, feeling the warmth of the sun and seeing it shimmering on the water. I carry pictures of the people I love, my kids and people who make me happy to look at. I have an index card with my positive affirmations that I can read when I need to. It could include your pets, or thoughts on your accomplishments, or goals that inspire you. I wrote down some  beautiful places I remember that I’ve been to and think about upcoming vacations. Fill your mp3 , iPod, or CD  with music that inspires you. I have many! I placed a beautiful picture I took of Cayuga Lake at sunset on my computer screen and think of those warm summer nights enjoying its beauty when I’m at work and something negative tries to surface.                                                                                                                                                                          I say this to myself:  “I am the ruler of my mind and I decree that this thought is banished from my head. Then I think about those warm and beautiful thoughts or look at the pictures and index cards,  or “Goodbye negative thought, then I think thoughts of joy, pleasure and abundance. Guess what….It works! 4 more days to go!
