I can almost see it. That dream I’m dreaming, but there’s a voice insideScreen-shot-2013-04-18-at-6_50_55-PM my head saying, You’ll never reach it. Every step I’m takin’ Every move I make feels lost with no direction, My faith is shakin’ But I, gotta keep tryin’ Gotta keep my head held high.

There’s always gonna be another mountain. I’m always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle. Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose. Ain’t about how fast I get there. Ain’t imagesCAQXFFIZabout what’s waitin’ on the other side.

It’s the climb!

The struggles I’m facing… The chances I’m taking. Sometimes might knock me down, but No I’m not breaking.  I may not know it, but these are the moments that I’m gonna remember most, yeah. Just gotta keep goin’, And I, I gotta be strong. Just keep pushing on, ’cause

There’s always gonna be another mountain. I’m always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle. Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose.  Ain’t about how fast I get there… Ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side.  It’s the climb!

MKMMA-Week 17 HJ “For Things To Change, You Got To Change”

“The world as we have created it, is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”     Albert Einstein

Change is hard, and I know this from experience. Sometime change takes a long time, I know this through experience in my life. Change takes effort, discipline, and the wiliness to know you have to change for things to get better in your life. You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Even though change is often difficult, many times it’s also for the best. A friend once told me, “From every adversity, comes a greater or equal opportunity”. Accomplishing anything great in life requires significant change that pushes us beyond our comfort zones. Many times, the only way to improve our lives is to force ourselves to undergo difficult change. In the MKMMA course…Our Hero’s Journey, we are learning the skills through excersises and compound progressions that are teaching us to develop habits that will change our lives.                                                            Change

Suppose, then, we desire to change conditions, how are we to bring this about? The reply is simple: By the law of growth. Cause and effect are as absolute and undeviating in the hidden realm of thought as in the world of material things.     Haanel

We have also learned The Law of Practice, by doing the readings and excersises over and over so they become a habit in our lives.  In Master Keys 9, Haanel tells us “Hold in mind the condition desired; affirm it as an already existing fact. This indicates the value of a powerful affirmation. By constant repetition it becomes a part of ourselves. We are actually changing ourselves; are making ourselves what we want to be”.

“No matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you’ve come from, you can always change, become a better version of yourself.”                      – Madonna

MKMMA Week 4- Our Hero’s Journey!

We define a hero is to be someone born with outstanding ability, courage, and bravery. But are heroes really born that way… are they superior beings?

Some heroes you and I are familiar with have forged their strength and character through their experiences. Their bravery and courage are developed in spite of fear and human failings.

Sometimes, the hero’s journey involves learning to believe in ourselves and our ability to play our part… to let our light shine. We may even need to grow into and accept our ability to lead and help others, overcome their fears or lack of self confidence. You remember Simba in The Lion King? Joseph Campbell taught that the hero’s journey is primarily a journey to the center of you, an inner journey to entirety and understanding.

So it’s possible to see your entire life as a hero’s journey. And at the end of your life, you have the opportunity to look back with wonder, astonishment and empathetic understanding at all that you have learned and become through this MKMMA Journey. It’s a lot of work, it’s challenging, but the rewards in our lives will be endless.

“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” Christopher Reeve

“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” Joseph Campbell

I had a dream that all of time was running dry.  And life was like a comet falling from the sky.  I woke so frightened in the dawning, oh, so clear.  How precious is the time we have here.

Are we not wise enough to give all we are.  Surely we’re bright enough to outshine the stars. But human kind gets so lost in finding its way.

But we have a chance to make a difference til our dying day.  And you might pray to God or say it’s destiny.  But I think we’re just hiding all that we can be.

Are we not wise enough to give all we are.  Surely we’re bright enough to outshine the stars.  But human kind gets so lost in finding its way.

We have a chance to make a difference til our dying day.

All I’m really asking is, what are we doing here.  Are we just killing time just living year to year.  In this big world, no one else can play our part.  Ain’t it time to just wake up and give it all.

Are we not wise enough to give all we are.  Surely we’re bright enough to outshine the stars.  But human kind gets so lost in finding its way.

We have a chance to make a difference til our dying day.  We have a chance to make a difference till our dying day.  We have a chance to make a difference till our dying day.
