MKMMA Week 24- Thoughts and Dreams are Whispers from the Soul!

This has been an incredible 24 week journey for all of us in this MKMMA course and especially in my life. This has been a truly life changing event. It has been a lot of work but it has been worth every hour I have put into it. I have connected with so many awe inspiring members who have shared their lives as well as their experiences in this course. They have encouraged me and inspired me in incredible ways. Thank you to all of you for being part of my life on this journey. I am truly humbled and greatful for each and every one of you.

Thank you Mark J, Davene, and the MKMMA team for giving us the courage and the committment to follow our own Hero’s Journey. I will always be indebted to you.

MKMMA Week 23- THE CLIMB

Wow, what an incredible Heros Journey this has been in the MKMMA course. As Mark J puts it “Sometimes I just sit in awe. To be in the company of close to 300 kindred spirits who actually “get it.” We so got this…the wisdom in the 20 points Mr. Hill makes.  There are always going to be mountains to climb in our lives and this course has given us the tools needed to overcome the obstacles….to make The Climb..our Hero’s Journey! The beauty in our lives is surrounded by nature…Dream big Dreams…..Enjoy the Climb!

MKMMA Week 22A – The Push!

As I was thinking about what to write about for this week’s blog, I was compelled to share a video that resonates deeply in me and what this MKMMA course has been about. All of the incredible lessons we have learned through the persistent and consistent efforts and guidance of Mark J, Davene and all the MKMMA guides, which has brought each of us on our own Hero’s Journey.

This video is a story of an Eagle’s responsibility as a parent and her parental mission to make sure her young flourish. As you watch this video, think about how it relates to the constant nudging and pushing by Mark and Davene to do the assignments and lessons that have been given to us, so we to can finish strong and flourish in our lives…

MKMMA Week 22 – Enjoy The Silence!

Silence-Stillness-and-Manifestation-300x223Deepak Chopra Defines Meditation – “Everyone thinks that the purpose of meditation is to handle stress, to tune out, to get away from it all. While that’s partially true, the real purpose of meditation is actually to tune in, not to get away from it all, but to get in touch with it all. Not to just de-stress, but to find that peace within, the peace that spiritual traditions talk about that passes all understanding. So, meditation is a way to get in the space between your thoughts. You have a thought here, a thought here, and there’s little space between every thought.

According to wisdom traditions, this space between the thought is the window, is the corridor, is the vortex to the infinite mind – the mystery that some people call the spirit or God. We don’t have to use those terms, but it’s your core consciousness. And the more we learn about this space between thoughts; we find certain things to be true of it:
  • It’s a field of infinite possibilities – infinite possibilities, pure potentiality.
  • Everything is connected to everything else.
  • It’s a space of infinite creativity, infinite imagination.
  • It is a place where there is something called the observer effect, or the power of intention, which means intention is very powerful when brought to this space and it orchestrates its own fulfillment – what people call the law of attraction – so those are wonderful qualities of your own spirit.

In meditation, we get into this space so we find infinite possibilities, infinite correlation, infinite creativity, infinite imagination, and infinite power of intention. That’s what meditation is really about”.

Dr. Kelly McGonigal is a health psychologist and award-winning lecturer at Stanford University. A leading expert on the mind-body relationship, her work integrates the latest findings of psychology, neuroscience, and medicine with contemplative practices of mindfulness and compassion from the traditions of Buddhism and yoga.

McGonigal says that, during silence, the mind has an easier time cultivating a form of mindful intention that later motivates us to take action. Intentional silence puts us in a state of mental reflection and disengages our intellectual mind. At that point McGonigal says to ask yourself three questions:

But there’s a really basic one where you simply ask yourself,

  • “If anything were possible, what would I welcome or create in my life?”
  • Another question is, “When I’m feeling most courageous and inspired, what do I want to offer the world?”
  • And the third question is, “When I’m honest about how I suffer, what am I willing to let go of, or what do I want to make peace with?”
“In silence, we make room for self-awareness and the ability to be in control of our actions, rather than under their control. The break from external voices puts us in tune with our inner voices—and it’s those inner voices that drive our actions. Awareness leads to control”.

MKMMA Week 21- Your Thoughts Create Your World

With our thoughts, we make the world.”  Buddha

Thoughts create everything. But here’s the problem. Most people spend their time thinking about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up over and over again. In The Secret, it is referred as the “don’t want” epidemic. When people think, speak, act and focus on what they don’t want, they keep it alive.

imagesCAA97GDJWe can free ourselves of this epidemic by thinking and speaking about what we do want. Our thoughts not only matter, they create matter. Thought is where everything comes from. And our thoughts create our lives and our world.

We’ve all heard the old expression, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” But that’s not really how it is. We have learned that The truth is more like this: “You’ll see it when you believe it.”

When novelist Victor Hugo said, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come,” he was giving us a literal description of how reality works. Our thoughts are the controlling factor in what we manifest and create in our lives.

In an actual and physical sense through the Law of Growth, our beliefs don’t simply reflect our reality, they create our reality, and they create our world. This concept also applies to the attainment of massive success in business.

During our sits we have created the habit, skill and awareness of listening to our thoughts. What are the dominant thoughts that run through your mind? We need to constantly review our thought list. Is it a list of “don’t wants” or needs? What thoughts do you need to change?

Using the Law of Substitution we need to replace our “don’t wants” with wants. When we find ourselves thinking of things we don’t want to manifest in our life, we need to interrupt those thoughts and replace them with thoughts about what we do want.
